Bhairava Tantra

The “Book of secrets” is the mystical comment of a contemporary of us on Shiva’s 5000-year-old “Vigyana Bhairava Tantra”, a title that literally means “Techniques to transcend consciousness.”

The fact that “tantra” literally means “technique” or “method” will be a surprise for many. In our days, tantra is almost entirely associated with sex. But out of the 112 meditation techniques that are discussed in the “Bhairava Tantra”, less than half a dozen of them are directly related to sex.

The purpose of tantra is not to help improve your sex life. It is rather a means of learning to make use of the countless situations and confrontations that involve the everyday life of each day as a portal to the experience of meditation.

The Vigyan Bhairav Tantra invites us to experiment with the keys of our senses and experience their effects thereof on our daily lives. All you need to do is try out the keys until you find one that fits. Use that to open the door and discover what’s inside.

As an oracle we make intuitive use of the 112 sutras.
